Cars X Coffee Sunday Motor Co.
일. Preface
This event happened for me because I saw a Cars & Coffee event that Andy posted up on his social media. I spoke with him and got an invite in regards to the event. Thank you and it is greatly appreciated. I have to get into a back story because it relates to my Miata ownership connecting me through various communities in the car culture, which I will get to in a later post. Joe as the world knows him on the internet as Licelsior, is a longtime friend of mine that I have known since he had his LS400. He has been tremendously instrumental in my NC build from the wheel and tire sizing to fender rolling, doing my brake upgrade, swapping out my exhaust system to hooking me up with parts at a huge discount. Some of you may know he has an S2000, but my inspiration for the NC has always been the jazzy Honda roadster since I did not see too many tuned NCs to my standards stateside at the time when I owned this car for the last 5 years. It’s only now that the chassis is getting some recognition in the Miata community.
이. The Ride
My connection with Andy started because Joe befriended Andy and Steve (E92 Sedan in the rolling pictures of the drive) through track days in their S2000s. I had a set of OG TE37s that I sold through Joe that Steve bought. I ended up buying Joe’s OG Regamaster set off his S2000 after the sale. I befriended Steve and Andy through social media once Joe started to track two years ago. Fast forward to the event and we finally got to meet in person. I was told prior to the event that the E30 is what he will be bringing and I could not wait.
The BMW E30 is an iconic car that needs no introduction. You can click this link from the BMW M division website if you would like to do a brief reading as to why it is special. It is in my canon of the best cars of all time. It’s never power to me or how fast you can get in a straight line but the overall experience and feeling a car gives the driver. What does it communicate to you? How does it make you feel? As a motorsports enthusiast, the drive or passenger experience should always be memorable.

삼. The Meetup Spot
I met Andy at a disclosed location early in the morning and we would head up to the meetup spot in New Jersey to link up with the other drivers and head to the event. We were all in for a very special treat since it was a clear and crisp day in our forecast. A high in the low 60s in the early weeks of December is definitely a treat given to us by Mother Nature or the ramifications of global warming. Andy runs a group EarlyShift.Cars. The primary focus since everyone is older and has families is to meet for cars and coffee events early in the morning to enjoy your hobby and be back to the family before noon to go about your day.

사. The Drive
During the drive, we did encounter some fog but upon arrival at the venue, it was a beautiful day to enjoy time to catch up with friends, eat good food, and most importantly enjoy the cars.

오. The Event
The event allowed people to get intimate with the cars and their owners. It isn’t too often you will get a collection of cars like this in one place. If you could only see my smile behind my mask the entire time from beginning to end of the drive home.
